Project Description:

 Client happens to be one of the leading IT Solution providers

Being in the IT services business, My Client  needed to make its services available to its clients 24/7. Multiple redundancies were built at every level that included IT and physical infrastructure and people.

Typically the IT and physical infrastructure are tied to each other in such a way that one seat dedicated for one client cannot be shared for another client without making a few compromises.

Citrix XenDesktop eliminated the unproductive bonding between physical and IT infrastructure. It helped in making any seat of any client sharable with any other client without compromises in functionality, information security and cost.

 The challenge –  Modernize infrastructure to achieve higher security and efficiency

Proposed Solution: Citrix XenDesktop ( Desktop Virtualization ) is being implemented on Citrix XenServer ( Server Virtualization ) as a Base Hypervisor and Citrix XenApp ( Application Virtualization ) with Reduced Vdisk management  achieved with Citrix Provisioning Server ( Vdisk management ) , windows user profile management by Appsense ( User Virtualization ) Applications accessed via Citrix Receiver ( Universal Plug-in ) integrated with Citrix Merchandising server ( Unified Plug-in Provider ) integrated with Citrix Dazzle ( Corporate Storefront ),

Secured by Citrix Access Gateway (  SSL , VPN and Smart Access )

and WAN bandwidth optimised with  Citrix Branch Repeater ( WAN Optimiser ) , load balancing and Disaster recovery taken care by Citrix NetScaler ( GSLB, content switching, data compression, content caching ) , Auditing of the application access is achieved with Citrix Smart Auditor ( Auditing Tool )  , and the Citrix Infrastructure managed by Citrix Edgesight ( Monitoring and Capacity planning Tool ) and the entire solution gets seamlessly integrated into the existing Windows and Network infrastructure.
